Refund & Return Policy
This Refund & Return Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to all purchases made with JMJ Sewing Machines LLC within the United States. Please review carefully, as returning sewing equipment—especially industrial machines—requires proper handling and logistics.

California Residents Notice:
In compliance with California Business & Professions Code § 17500.3, the following terms are disclosed prior to purchase: a 14-day return window, a 20% restocking fee on non-defective returns, and customer-paid return shipping. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
1. Return Period
You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery (as confirmed by the carrier’s “Delivered” tracking status or signed Bill of Lading) to initiate a return by requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
Returns requested after the 14-day period will not be accepted, except in the following cases:
- Defective products covered under the manufacturer’s warranty or our store warranty (see Section 9);
- Non-waivable consumer rights granted under applicable federal or state law.
2. Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the item must meet all of the following conditions:
- Unused and in the same condition as received;
- In the original packaging, including pallet, box, foam, straps, and all protective materials where applicable;
- Complete with all labels, accessories, manuals, bobbins, needles, presser feet, warranty cards, and inserts;
- Accompanied by valid proof of purchase (order number or receipt);
- Not listed as a non-returnable item (see Section 7).
Items that do not meet these conditions may be rejected, approved for a partial refund at our sole discretion, or returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
3. How to start a return (RMA process)
- Contact us first. Send jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com an email with your order number, a description of the item, and the reason for the return. DO NOT send the item back without authorization.
- Receive an RMA. We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization number and return instructions within 2 business days.
- Merchandise Returns (50+ lb. Machines):
- The pallet and original packaging must be intact and undamaged. Damaged packaging may void eligibility.
- We will provide routing instructions for LTL cargo return.
- You are responsible for refitting the machine if the original box is destroyed, paying for tailgate pickup, and all return shipping costs.
- Pack securely. Include the RMA number visible on the return label and a copy of the packing slip inside. Use tracked and insured shipments — we are not responsible for returns lost in transit.
- Confirmation. We will notify you by email when the return is received and inspected.
Returns without an RMA number will be rejected or delayed.
4. Return shipping costs
- Customer's choice (change of mind, wrong choice, wrong size, etc.): The customer pays for the return shipping, including LTL freight, tailgate, packaging, and any terminal fees. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Our mistake (we sent the wrong item, item damaged by us when packing): We cover the return shipping. We can provide a prepaid return label or refund reasonable return shipping costs upon proof of payment.
- Defective product detected within the return period: We cover the return shipment, as long as the inspection confirms the defect.
5. Replacement Rate — 20%
A 20% replacement fee is applied to all eligible returns that are not defective. This fee reflects:
- re-inspection, repackaging and re-pallet costs;
- Retesting of industrial equipment;
- Depreciation of items resold as an "open box";
- Handling of goods in heavy machinery.
The restocking rate is disclosed here and at the time of purchase for California residents, in accordance with California Business and Professions Code § 17500.3
No restocking fee applies to:
- Defective or damaged items (see Sections 8 and 9);
- Items sent in error by us;
- Orders cancelled prior to shipment (Section 11).
6. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- We will notify you by email of the approval or rejection within 5 business days of receipt;
- Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method (Accepted payment methods include: credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay, and Synchrony financing) within 7–10 business days of approval;
- Depending on your payment method or card issuer, it may take longer for the refund to appear in your account;
- Original shipping charges are NOT refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product;
- Refunds for returns caused by our error include the refund of the original shipment paid by the customer.
If you haven't received your refund within 14 business days of approval, check with your bank or card issuer first, and then contact us at jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com.
7. Non-Returnable Items ("Final Sale")
The following items are not returnable or refundable under any circumstances, except when defective or required by non-exemptible consumer law:
- Items explicitly marked as "Final Sale," "Such Lime," or "Clearance" at the time of purchase;
- Customized, customized, customized, or made-to-order machines;
- Parts, accessories or consumables (needles, coils, thread, lubricants, tapes) once the packaging has been opened;
- Electrical components and motors that have been wired, installed, or turned on;
- Software, digital downloads, or gift cards;
- Items returned more than 14 days after delivery;
- Items damaged by misuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, unauthorized modification, operator error, or normal wear and tear;
- Items that lack original labels, packaging, or accessories (may be refused or partially refunded).
8. Damaged in transit
Claims for damage to parcel or LTL shipments are regulated by Section 5 of the Shipping Policy. In summary:
- Visible damage upon delivery: write "DAMAGED" on the BOL before signing, take photos, notify us within 24 hours.
- Hidden damage: report within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
- Do not dispose of the packaging or pallet until the claim is resolved.
For damaged items, (at our option) we will arrange a free replacement, a partial refund for repair, or a full refund including return shipping. This is the customer's sole remedy for shipping damage.
9. Defective Products and Manufacturer's Warranties
9.1 Within the return period (first 14 days)
If you receive a defective product upon arrival, please contact jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, description, and photos. At our discretion, we will arrange for replacement, repair, full refund or exchange — depending on the customer's choice from the available options. We cover return shipping for confirmed defects.
9.2 After Return Period JMJ Sewing Machines Shop Warranty
All products sold by JMJ SEWING MACHINES are covered by the following store-backed warranty against manufacturing defects:

Solutions under this warranty are at jmj Sewing machines' sole option: repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price paid. THIS IS THE CUSTOMER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY for defects discovered after the 14-day return period. We cover return shipping for confirmed warranty defects.

9.3 Other Marks (Unauthorized Channel)
We may occasionally sell products from brands not listed above, obtained through secondary distribution channels. The manufacturer's warranty may not be transferable directly through our channel for these brands. For these products, only the jmj Sewing machines Warranty in Section 9.2 applies.
9.4 What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
- Damage from misuse, neglect, improper installation, unauthorized modifications, or operation outside of the manufacturer's specifications;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Damage caused by surges, floods, fires, or other external events;
- Incidental or consequential damages (to the extent permitted by law).
10. Exchanges
We offer exchanges for the same product in a different configuration, subject to availability. The customer pays for return shipping (except for our error); we cover outbound replacement shipping.
11. Order Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled free of charge before shipment;
- After shipment, the order is treated as a return;
- To cancel, email jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com immediately.
12. Chargebacks
Please contact us first. Initiating a chargeback before contacting us may result in delays, account restrictions, or denial of future orders. Fraudulent claims will be disputed with evidence.
13. Business (B2B) vs Consumer Customers
Commercial transactions are governed by the UCC. The sole remedy is repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
Consumer rights remain protected under applicable laws.
14. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Policy. The version in effect at the time of purchase will govern the order.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. These Terms contain important provisions affecting your legal rights, including a binding arbitration clause (Section 17), a class-action waiver (Section 17), limitations of liability (Section 13), and an assumption of risk acknowledgment for industrial sewing equipment (Section 11). By using this Site or purchasing any product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding contract between you ("you", "Customer") and JMJ Sewing Machines LLC, a Florida limited liability company with its principal place of business at 10501 S Orange Ave, Unit 119, Orlando, FL 32824 ("JMJ Sewing Machines", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of the Site and any products or services.
By accessing, browsing, registering, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and all related policies.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract.
3. Commercial vs Consumer
Business purchases are governed by the UCC. Consumer rights remain protected under applicable laws.
4. Account Registration

5. Products, Pricing, and Availability
All product descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order.
6. Payment
You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all purchases.
7. Shipping and Risk of Loss
Shipping is governed by our Shipping Policy. Risk transfers to the customer once the product is delivered to the carrier.
8. Returns and Refunds
Returns are governed by our Refund Policy, including a 14-day return window and applicable restocking fees.
9. Technical Support
Support is provided as a courtesy and does not constitute a warranty or service contract.
10. Warranties
Products may include manufacturer or store warranties. Coverage excludes misuse or improper installation.
11. Assumption of Risk
Use of industrial equipment involves inherent risks. By purchasing, you accept full responsibility for safe use.
12. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate regulations.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
All products and services are provided "AS IS" without warranties except as explicitly stated.
14. Limitation of Liability
JMJ Sewing Machines LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the amount paid.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify JMJ Sewing Machines LLC against any claims resulting from misuse or violation of these Terms.
16. Intellectual Property
All content is owned by JMJ Sewing Machines LLC or licensors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
17. Governing Law and Arbitration
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in Florida.
18. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays due to events beyond our control.
19. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these Terms.
20. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive communications electronically.
21. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
22. Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JMJ Sewing Machines LLC.

Shipping Policy
JMJ SEWING MACHINES Online, LLC

This Shipping Policy explains how JMJ SERVICES AND DISTRIBUTION LLC ("JMJ SEWING MACHINES", "we") processes, ships, and delivers orders. It forms part of our Terms of Service and governs your purchase. We currently ship to the United States only (all 50 states, including APO/FPO/DPO where supported by USPS).
1. Order Processing
- Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
- Orders placed after 2:00 PM ET, on weekends, or on holidays are processed the next business day.
1.1 Parts, accessories, and small items
Standard processing time: 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. This applies to needles, thread, bobbins, presser feet, accessories, parts, and all non-industrial-machine orders.
1.2 Industrial sewing machines
Processing time: 2–5 business days after payment confirmation. Industrial machines undergo a rigorous pre-shipment process that includes full mechanical assembly, mechanical inspection and testing, electrical testing, and professional crating/packaging before shipping. This additional time ensures your machine arrives ready to operate.
- During peak seasons (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, holiday season), processing for all orders may extend by an additional 2–3 business days.
- You will receive an email with tracking information when the order ships.
2. Shipping Methods
JMJ SEWING MACHINES uses two distinct shipping methods depending on product weight, dimensions, and destination:
2.1 Parcel shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx)
For smaller products, parts, accessories, and light domestic machines — typically under 50 lb.
2.2 LTL Freight Shipping (Industrial Machines, 50+ lb)
Industrial sewing machines and heavy equipment ship via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight carriers such as FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, R+L Carriers, Estes, XPO, or equivalent. Please read Section 5 carefully — freight delivery is different from parcel delivery.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination ZIP code, package weight and dimensions, and the selected service level. LTL freight quotes may be provided at checkout or by custom quote before order confirmation for large or oversized shipments. Any promotional "free shipping" applies only when expressly stated and subject to terms.
4. Estimated Delivery Times

These are estimates provided by the carrier. They begin when the order ships, not when it is placed, and do not include order processing time.
FTC Mail Order Rule (16 C.F.R. § 435) Compliance
Consistent with the FTC Mail Order Rule, we commit to ship within the time promised at the time of order or, if no specific time is promised, within thirty (30) days of receipt of a properly completed order. If we cannot meet that time, we will notify you, give you the opportunity to consent to a specific delay or cancel for a full refund, and act promptly on your choice. You will always have the right to cancel a delayed order and receive a full refund.
5. LTL Freight Delivery — Critical Instructions
5.1 Standard curbside delivery
All LTL freight shipments are delivered curbside only. The carrier is not obligated to bring the pallet inside, onto a porch, into a garage, or upstairs.
5.2 Liftgate and appointment scheduling
- Residential addresses: Liftgate included.
- Commercial addresses: Dock delivery with notification.
- Appointment required for residential deliveries.
5.3 Local Florida deliveries (white-glove)
For many deliveries within Florida, JMJ Sewing Machines may offer complimentary white-glove delivery using our own team.
5.4 Missed delivery appointments and refused shipments
- Missed appointments: Customer pays re-delivery/storage fees.
- Refused shipments: Customer pays all return freight and fees.
5.5 Inspection Before Signing the BOL
THIS IS CRITICAL.
- Inspect pallet and packaging.
- Count all pieces.
- Note damage on BOL.
- Do not sign clean BOL if damaged.
- Refuse if severe damage and contact us.
5.6 Concealed Damage — 48-Hour Window
Report concealed damage within 48 hours by emailing jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com.
6. Risk of Loss — FOB Origin
Risk transfers to the customer when delivered to the carrier.
7. Shipping Address Accuracy
Customer is responsible for correct address. Additional fees may apply.
8. Restricted Destinations
We do not ship outside the U.S. or to certain restricted locations.
9. Lost or Stolen Packages
Contact jmjsewingmachines@gmail.com for lost packages.
10. Delays Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure events.
11. Order Cancellation and Changes
Orders can be modified before shipping only.
